I'm 17 and me and my friends are all hosting couples come dine me with. Me and my boyfriend want to do Italian food, because other couples are doing mexican and indian. Have you got any suggestions that aren't too fancy, either a starter and a main, or a main and dessert. thank you !

Chicken Alfredo
Garlic Bread- Just by some of the frozen kind and warm it up
and Tirimisu


CHICKEN ALFREDO

2 lbs boneless chicken breasts
4 tablespoons oil
1/4 cup butter
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
3/4 cup heavy cream
salt and pepper, to taste
1 lb fettucine

Heat oil in a 10 inch skillet. Cut chicken breast into strips. Add salt and pepper. Fry on medium heat until cooked through.

Sauce:

Melt butter in saucepan; add cream and cheese. cook over low heat, stirring constantly. Do not boil.
Cook fettucine in 3 quarts boiling water. Mix chicken and Alfredo sauce together. Drain noodles. Put sauce and chicken over noodles.

6 servings.


Easy Tiramisu

3 egg yolks
1/4 cup white sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 1/8 cups mascarpone cheese
24 ladyfingers
1 1/2 cups brewed coffee
1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder

In a medium bowl, beat yolks with sugar and vanilla until smooth and light yellow. Fold mascarpone into yolk mixture. Set aside.
Dip ladyfingers briefly in coffee and arrange 12 of them in the bottom of an 8x8 inch dish. Spread half the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers. Repeat with remaining cookies and mascarpone. Cover and chill 1 hour. Sprinkle with cocoa just before serving.

i think the title says it all

know of any, my friend is coming to visit and wouldl like to him out someplace good to eat, but not to $$$$, also i have a car but it seems that can be kind of a nuisance , but please fire away!!

It depends on definition of cheap, since little in Georgetown fits that description. A decent place with dinners between $10-15 that's very close to the waterfront is Bangkok Joe's (http://www.bangkokjoes.com). You might be able to find parking a little further down K Street towards the Key Bridge or they have a lot right underneath the building where this restaurant is. They traditionally had a good happy hour deal as well. The setting is a bit less intense than some places on M St. or Wisconsin Ave.

Other than that, in Georgetown it is a tossup between price and value - Clyde's might also be a decent option.
