I'm about to get my baby's first high chair. Any features I should look for? What you folks found useful for your babies?
BTW, my son is only 3 months, so he won't be using the high chair for at least a month, but we figured it was time to start looking.

We got the Fisher Price 'space saver' chair (the one that is just the highchair top and straps securely to any barstool or chair) and we LOVE it!! Our dining table is low, but we have a pub height table with barstools that we use at breakfast or for casual meals, so we can move it from table to table and always have her at the same height. I can even take it off the chair and set it on the living room floor with toys on the tray while we watch a movie. It converts to a booster seat down the road and will be really easy to store in a closet for future babies! It's also about $100 cheaper than similar models with legs.
You want to look for one that's easy to clean and holds the baby at a good angle (some are too upright). Online reviews are always helpful for finding out this information before you make a purchase!

It has beige/tan carpet, med oak furniture and is between office which is lt/med green (garden fairy Lowes) and foyer which is dark taupe. Reds seem too formal, I hate pink. Overall house is casual and coastal, greens & tans. Orange seems too jarring. No windows in the room. Chair rail and trim in white. Could do different colors upper and lower wall.

Dining rooms are very nice in a cream color. I used Sherwin Williams "Creme" for mine, with accents done in a deeper cream-gold color that was on the same paint sample card, I think, called "Straw Doll" (Sherwin Williams #1365). I painted it so it could have a chair rail... darker color below the rail and lighter above. You could also use a strip of wallpaper around the middle, one of the fancy border designs, like a greek key design.
The cream/gold combination goes well with eating, and it lets you use green tableware with gold/yellow accents. It will be just perfect with the other nearby colors. And it will perk up the carpet to have the gold color just above it, while the room won't feel as close as it would if done entirely in a dark color.
