The table has a wood top with green legs/base and green chairs with a cream colored seat cushion. I want to paint it black to go with the new mirror I just bought for the wall. What type of paint do I use on wood furniture?

Answer
I would definitely recommend priming it. you should use a latex primer sealer designed to stick to glossy surfaces. then paint with a latex interior paint in the finish of your choice. i would suggest a semi-gloss to give you a better/more durable finish. i would not suggest using an oil, as they are getting to be very expensive, and a lot a regions will be forced by the EPA to stop selling in the next couple years. also, try to get a premixed black. don't let the paint store tint it black. if the store you go to doesn't have black already on the shelf, go to another store. if they mix it, the paint wont do as well. i would apply a couple coats of paint and not coat with a lacquer/varnish. these types of product WILL YELLOW over time. they get more yellow, and cloudy as time goes by. if you MUST clear coat, use a latex polyurethane. it will stay completely clear.
I would suggest:
Primer:Benjamin Moore Fresh start All purpose primer 023-00
finish: Benjamin Moore Ironclad Latex Metal & Wood Enamel 363-80
Clear(if you must):Benjamin Moore Stays Clear LAtex Polyurethane

How do I make a tent with blankets and chairs?

Patrics gi

Can't put my actual tent up and need to make one with blankets and chairs. Please please help me.

Answer
take four chairs, i use the ones from my dining room with nice points edges. space them out and place them facing away from each other ( like if people were going to sit facing away from everyone). get a biggg blanket and throw it over the chairs. (i reccomend a big but thin blanket so it will stay up, a bed sheet will also work well cause you can stretch the elastic around the chairs.) if your chairs have rounded edges duct tape the blanket to the chairs, or maybe put a pillow on the chair and tuck the blanket beneath it so it stays. if the blanket is too heavy you might have to place a book or something on the chairs to weight them down. next, if you want, you can throw a smaller blanket over just two of the chairs and let it hang off the side to make a door kind of. or, throw towels lengthwise over the middle of the big blanket to make doors. use pillows on the inside to cover up empty spaces and in between the chairs. BE CREATIVE!

Hope this helps! :)
