kids kitchen sets youtube image

My husband and I are going to be adopting soon. I am looking into daycare options and the one I am interested in most is having an in home sitter. I work from home but cannot leave my desk during business hours. I would like to have nanny cams set up in the kids room/living room/kitchen areas so that I can keep an eye on the babysitter because lets face it, in this day and age you can never truly trust someone with your kids. I want it patched into my office so I can watch it on my monitor while I am working. How would I go about doing this?

Answer
OMG this is how hoarding begins. Ever seen that show "Hoarders?" They can't throw anything out. They start to find uses for everything...even used Nuvo bottles. ;)
1) Magic potion window art: My mom has a bunch of used bottles, and she fills them with food-colored water. She sets them on the window ledge, and the sunlight shines through. It's pretty.
2) Button storage: . You know how every time you buy a dress shirt or something it comes with a button? You know how the buttons are always getting lost? You could store buttons inside the bottle.
3) Vase. Not very creative, I know. But a black rose...now that would be cool. You can get those at halloween. You might fill it with those glass colorful stones.
4) Coin storage. Are your coins laying all over your dresser and the floor? Now they don't have to be.
Or you can put your foreign coin collection inside.
5) Spice jar. Wouldn't the table sugar look super cool in a Nuvo bottle?
6) Bug jar. Got nieces and nephews or kids of your own? Save cool spider and insect specimens in a neat bottle.
7) Salad dressing keeper with style. I had to bring a salad and dressing to a birthday party. I found a recipe for Buca di Beppo's vinegar and oil salad dressing for their apple salad, and brought the dressing to the party in a lovely bottle just like that Nuvo one.
8) M & M keeper. They make M&Ms for every holiday now. Showcase the latest M&Ms on your kitchen counter, or keep them on your desk at work to encourage friends to stop by your desk.
9) Time capsule. Roll some poetry, photos, or a few favorite items inside, seal it well, and bury it in your yard. Set a date to open it.
10) Chopsticks or straw keeper. Tired of rummaging around in the kitchen drawer for your straws or hand painted chopsticks? Store them in style.
11) Pen or painbrush cup. I'm not sure how tall that is. If you are an artist, you might be able to store your pens, pencils, or paintbrushes inside.
12) Gift wrap. Decopage some crazy fashion magazine clippings, tiny rockstar photos, or favorite stickers to the outside for a truly unique container. Use it to hold a tiny gift like a necklace or ring.
13) Lost and Found for Keys. Have an extra house or car key, but you always lose it? Put it inside the Nuvo bottle.
14) Water Bottle. Need to take a bit of water with you to the gym? Filter some water, and store it in the refrigerator in this lovely reusable container. Then, bring it with you to the gym. Earth friendly and stylish! It also looks like glass, so if it is, you won't have to worry about the supposed health risks of some plastics.
15) USB key storage. I have tons of really tiny USB flash drives. Where can I put them? ...Perhaps in a Nuvo bottle.
16) Guitar Pick Holder. I'm know I'm always losing my guitar picks. Now you can keep them in a Nuvo bottle.
17) Crazy Candle Holder. My relatives used to use old wine bottles for drip candle holders. The wax would drip down over the bottle and make an insane mountain of wax. When a candle was finished, they'd add a new candle. Put it on a plate, get a Nuvo bottle, a drip candle, and let the fun begin.
18) Nuvo game. Need something to do with a group of friends. Write truth or dare questions on paper and have them draw from the bottle. Or play animal charades and have the people draw out animals names for people to guess. With a date? Put crazy things in there for each other to do. Or make it a dice game. Put some dice in there and make it like a Yahtzee dice cup.
19) Wind Whistle or Nuvo Techno. If it's glass, blow across the top for a cool sound. If you've got a couple bottles, you might fill them with water, blow on them, and bang on them with silverware to make cool music. Record it into your computer and distort and mix the sounds with a music software and put it to a beat. Instant Nuvo Techno. You might be the next youtube sensation. lol.
20) Moss in a Jar. When I was a kid, I saved some moss in a jar and watered it. It lived a while, and looked pretty cool.
21) Firefly Holder. Collect fireflies, and watch them light up in your Nuvo bottle.
22) Odds and Ends holder. Ever find a cool screw, a nail, a stone, a paperclip, a rubber band? Put them inside the bottle.
23) Ship in a bottle. Carve a tiny ship with collapsible sails. Pull the sails upright with a string once the ship is in the bottle.
24) Tornado or Ocean in a Jar. There are a bunch of recipes online. One usually uses water, soap, and glitter, and one often uses oil, water and blue food coloring. There are also some homemade lava lamp recipes.
25)Let it Be. Some of the most beautiful things are left just as they are. Set the bottle on your dresser, and let it bring back happy memories of a great birthday.
