In England for the typical rich person. More specifically, did they have sinks in an actual bath room or wash basins? Any kind of information regarding this would be great, though I am most interested in their version of sinks. Thanks!

A sink - at this time period - was a hole in the ground, like today's sinkhole.
Water used for hand and face washing was in a basin. The water was poured using a ewer. These were also called a pitcher and bowl, which is how the term came to the US.
A "bathroom" was where one bathed. A rest room didn't exist. A powder room was where you went to have your hair or wig powdered. A necessary, loo, garderobe, latrine, lavatory or closed stool were used to relieve yourself. As time went on (past the 1700s) this place was also called the water closet. A closed stool was a chest with a hole on top that contained a chamber pot, this piece of furniture was placed where ever needed for convenience.
Some dining room side boards of the period contained a chamber pot, so that guests didn't have to leave the dining room. (sidebar - really sanitary, huh?)
The garderobe is the oldest term here and dates from the middle ages. The garderobe was a wooden board with a hole placed over an opening down the side of the castle. They were also placed over the moat, to discourage intruders from trying to swim the moat.
